Biography

Aqsa Zubair is an Assistant Director in the Supervision (Financial Technology) Department at the Bermuda Monetary Authority (Authority or BMA); she is responsible for leading the regulatory authorisation and supervision efforts under the Digital Asset Business Act 2018 and licensing and authorisation under the Digital Asset Issuance Act 2020. Alongside leading the BMA’s efforts with the Global Financial Innovation Network, Aqsa is responsible for instigating and advancing Financial Technology innovation and the digital asset regime in Bermuda, one of the world’s first and only jurisdictions with a regulatory framework for digital assets.
